2) Buddhist Circuit Tour

Day 1 : Guide will take you to meet with the “Buddhist Vikshu” at Kamlapur Buddhidt praying house. After passing there sometimes, you will chick in hotel and overnight there.

Day 2 : After breakfast you will start for Mainamati – an extensive center of Buddhist culture. It is 114-km to southeast of Dhaka. On the slope of the hills you can see the scattered treasure of information about the early Buddhist civilization (8th – 12th Century AD). At Salbon the middle of the range, excavation laid bare a large Buddhist Vihara and imposing central shrine. It is revealed valuable information about the rule of the Chandra and Deva dynasties, which flourished here during 4 centuries. The whole range of hillocks runs for about 18-km. You will also visit the site archeological museum, which includes terracotta plaques, bronze statues, coins, jewellery, utensils, and pottery. BRDB is nearby to the Vihara. At evening you will return back to Dhaka.. Overnight at Dhaka.

Day 3 : Leave Dhaka by morning car / bus for Bogra. Arrival at Bogra after a drive of little over 4-hours. We shall arrange some refreshment and collect packet lunch for the day. Then you will visit the ruins of Mahasthan first and next drive to Paharpur to sit the Paharpur Buddhist Monastery (8-12th Century AD), the biggest single vihara, south of the Himalayas. You will pass some time here visiting the sites and having the lunch. Then drive to Rajshahi and on arrival check in to Parjatan motel for dinner and overnight.
