4) Tea Garden City Tour
Day 01 : Leave Dhaka in the early morning by car/bus for Srimangal (191km). On arrival you will check in the guesthouse of HEED Bangladesh or Bangladesh Tea Research Institute. After lunch the guide will take you out to show the Tea Plantation, Rubber Garden, and the Monipuri village. Back to the guest house in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 02 : After breakfast, you will visit the Lawacherra rain forest, tea factory (if in operation) to see the processing of Tea leaves. The Lawacherra rainforests are habitat of hanuman monkeys, other rare species of wild animals, and birds. We shall also try to show you the plucking of Tea leaves (two leaf & a bud), mostly by the woman worker in a typical style. Back to the guesthouse for lunch. After lunch, you will be taken to Madhavpur lake, a beautiful lake. Tonight you can also enjoy a tribal dance program. Overnight at Srimangal.
Day 03 : You will also visit the Khasia and Tipra tribal villages. After lunch in the restaurant of your guesthouse, you will be taken to the Monipuri village, where you can see their traditional weaving and their lifestyle from a close angle. You can also buy some finished textile from them. Then you will visit the Tea worker's village. After having lunch, you will leave for Dhaka.
